We discuss recent progress in various problems related to bound-state quantum electrodynamics: the bound-electron g factor, two-loop self-energy corrections and the laser-dressed Lamb shift. The progress relies on various advances in the bound-state formalism, including ideas inspired by effective field theories such as Nonrelativistic Quantum Electrodynamics. Radiative corrections in dynamical processes represent a promising field for further investigations.

A model of gauge mediation with m 3/2 ≃ O(1) eV is considered to motivate 100 TeV colliders. Massive mediators with standard-model and supersymmetry-breaking gauge quantum numbers let low-scale dynamics induce sizable soft masses of the standard-model superpartners. We circumvent potential phenomenological difficulties that such low-scale models tend to cause.

The problem of meson bound states with N f massive fermions in two dimensional quantum electrodynamics is discussed. We speculate about the spectrum of the lightest particles by means of the effective semiclassical description. In particular, the systems of fundamental fermions with SU (2) and SU (3) flavour symmetries broken by massive terms are investigated.

We present measurements of time-dependent asymmetries in decays of neutral B mesons to the final states B 0 → ρ ± π ∓. Measurements are based on a 140 f b −1 data sample collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider.

We show in two simple examples that for one-dimensional quantum chains with quantum group symmetries, the correlation functions of local operators are, in general, infrared divergent. If one considers, however, correlation functions invariant under the quantum group, the divergences cancel out.
